This has got to be one of the ugliest stories ever told. I would not be writing it if it were not for the fact that one of the victims of his thirty years of raping women visited my Sanctuary, which is only 4 hours from where the shame of Brazil took place. For decades sick and needy people have been visiting him, a supposed great healer who was famous for channeling other beings and healing a lot of people. From news reports it seems that he is not going to be famous for healing but for rape and human trafficking.
John of God – sold babies for thousands as he impregnated teenage slaves he kept at his rural gem mines and farms in Brazil, an activist claims. Joao Teixeira de Faria, 77, was arrested on December 17 on the outskirts of Abadiania, in rural Brazil on rape charges. He has also been accused of running a sex slave farm and selling babies to the highest bidder on the black market to couples all over the world.
He became a wanted man after a bombshell late night chat show on Brazil’s Globo TV network aired accusations from ten women of abuse at his Casa de Dom Inacio de Loyola in Abadiania. Now the activist Sabrina Bittencourt – whose investigations lead to his arrest – claims he operated a sick ‘farming’ operation which exported babies on the black market.
Brazilian spiritual healer ‘John of God’ indicted for rape, accused of sexually abusing nearly 600 women. Their ages at the time of the alleged assaults, which took place from the 1980s through October 2018, range from nine to 67.
The story I heard first hand indicated there was a conspiracy, meaning many people who worked with John of God knew what was going on meaning they were accomplishes to his crimes. Brazil’s O Globo newspaper reported that the medium withdrew 35 million reais ($8.9m; £7m) from several bank accounts right before he was arrested as authorities were convinced that he was planning to flee Brazil, or hide the money in case of future compensation claims.
This is certainly a story that demonstrates how gullible people can be. Through the years have heard many stories and met many people on the way to see one of the biggest con men in history. Was never attracted to anything I heard so avoided his place like the plague. John of God was known to be a channel for other entities, which gives one a way to escape responsibility for what one says and does.
At the end of 2018 John was accused of pedophile by his own daughter. Dalva Teixeira de Souza sues her own father, João Teixeira de Souza (João de Deus) for sexual abuse. Now, faced with the revelations of other women against the “medium”, the case is one more that shows the true face of the man who used to abuse women while saying to do good.
Many worship their gurus as omnipotent god-like beings, believing that they perform miracles. “Surrender is a very important aspect of the guru-devotee relationship. You have to completely surrender yourself to the God-man, which means even when he’s wrong, he’s right,” writes Bgavdeep Kang.
One has only to do a search on google to read reports of one guru (enlightened beings) after another of being accused of sexual misconduct. It seems like many of the messengers of God are representatives of the worst of us. My mentor Chistopher Hills said that evil often comes in a beautiful package but that does not look like the case with John of God.
Through the years I have met hundreds of followers of the Guru depicted in this Net Flix documentary. Osho was the most outrageous guru of our times and he too was accused of sexual impropriety. But as the rape victim in my office said, “At least he was honest about his ideas on sexuality where all the others hid behind images of purity and perfection.”
Guru’s even ride motorcycles and this one is already in jail for rape.
The town that was built up around John of God was devastated by his fall. His victims and my visitor certainly were devastated and it takes years if not a lifetime to get over sexual abuse and rape. Almost thirty years ago my life was changed when I worked with several women who had been raped. Few understand that the emotional devastation leads to devastation of the immune system and this can lead to cancer.
Sanctuary in Brazil
After many years of building we are finally going to open our Sanctuary near Alto Paraiso do Goias, where we have created a heaven on earth. A place to worship Nature not me or my wife. One of the main things we want to do is work with couples and teach them what my wife and I have been doing for 23 years, which is couple therapy done by the couple.
We will be offering retreats from the world in our house of healing. Love and listening and worship of what is truly beautiful is what we would like to share with others.

I've been to see seven spiritual healers, some of whom were valid. Including one who came from South America to visit Catholic churches in the US, and one who used to live in the town I'm in now. I did an in-depth research of healers, including buying a video on John of God. Seemed interesting, but...
Colonel John B. Alexander, who has traveled the world to investigate the paranormal, went to John of God's encampment, but reported no witnessed healings. I've read that Brazil is lousy with fake healers. There was Dr. Fritz, though, a psychic surgeon who has incarnated in various individuals.
The valid healer I went to here attended Barbara Brennan's school. - Book Download
