FBI Agent Who Investigated Unabomber Busted For Child Pornography BY JULIAN KIMBLE | MAY 15, 2012 | 12:13 PM | PERMALINK A former FBI explosives specialist who worked on some of the agency's most high-profile cases was arrested for distributing child pornography. 54-year-old Donald Sachtleben faces 20 years for distributing the material over unsecured wireless networks using the screen name “pedodave69.” The Indiana resident worked for the bureau from 1983 to 2008, and was still working as an FBI contractor and a visiting assistant forensic sciences professor at Oklahoma State University . Sachtleben investigated the bombing at the U.S. Embassy in Kenya, the USS Cole bombing in Yemen, the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and the 1995 Oklahoma City federal building bombing. Sachtleben even organized the search of the Unabomber Ted Kaczynski’s Lincoln, Mont., cabin. He penned Kaczynski's arrest affidavit. Sachtleben allegedly used the network of a 73-year-old Illinois man to share 220 child pornography images during one night in September 2010.
