NASA Invites News Media to Ames for LCROSS Impact Events
NASA's LCROSS mission will culminate with two lunar impacts at approximately 4:30 a.m. PDT on Oct. 9. The mission will search for water ice in the Cabeus A crater near the moon's south pole. Reporters are invited to observe the event and participate in pre-impact and post-impact media briefings Oct. 9 at NASA's Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, Calif. yeah, great stupid f$@*ing idea!
Its really really stupid to shoot a kinetic impacter at the moon if you don't know what they are doing.....

The whole point is to eject the moon surface and underlining layer to run a spectral analysis, they do this to comets its standard procedure. Its needed for logistical info regarding water content in the soil when they build a moon base.
HAH! That's kind of ridiculous and ironic because for a while, NASA and the rest of the upper echelon didn't want anyone to know there was water on the moon. But I guess since recently the Indian's blew the whistle on that one, NASA has no choice but to make it's odd and costly experiments publicly know now.
word of the month is ridiculous.
