People throwing up in the aisles and fleeing the theater, a radical increase in psychiatric visits, and a renewed fascination with the demonic were all scenarios that manifested from the 1973 film, The Exorcist. http://www.hollywoodunmasked.com/theexorcist.html
Thanks yes I had felt these forces when I was a kid only one time and I swear that I still get the chills when I think of it. It felt like pure evil and I never want to feel like that again. You know thatSatan uses Hollywood to futther his agend! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pw_YKqMSHXg
I was hanging out with a friend and her daughter and her two friends were sitting there watching the Exorcist with us. Those girls were about twelve and thirteen. That movie was the funniest thing to those girls. They were saying how Regan had Turrets, just laughing through the whole movie. In the collectors edition with interviews, Blatty had said that you get out of the movie what you bring to the movie. The voice of possessed Regan was created by an older lady who was fed whiskey and cigarettes for like three days, all the while being tied to a chair. Oh yeah, on the song State Sponsored Dope, I used the Muslim prayer from the beginning of the Exorcist to give the middle eastern feel.
I am not worried about Satanic panic or anything but people must know the ones that do not know. That movie was so creepy and the making of it was also.
