‘That’s What Makes America Great’ — Michelle Obama Just Made A Barely Veiled Swipe At Trump

Former first lady Michelle Obama made a barely veiled swipe at President Trump in a speech Friday, giving her own opinion on what “makes America great.”

“Folks who model decency and dignity and integrity for our kids every single day, see, that’s who we are. That more than anything is what shapes our children and that’s what makes America great,” she said at the “School Counselor of the Year ceremony” at the Kennedy Center, CNN reports.

“I know there’s a lot of anxiety out there. And there’s no denying our kids, what they see on TV, the kind of behavior being modeled in public life, that, yes impacts their behavior and their character.”
The former first lady has not stayed silent about politics since leaving the White House.
In October, she said, “At the State of the Union address–when you are in the room what you can see is this real dichotomy. It’s a feeling of color almost.”
“On one side of the room is literally gray and white. Literally, that is the color palette on one side of the room. On the other side of the room, there are yellows and blues and whites and greens.
