The WH Tuesday condemned Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan's claim that Israel had a role in toppling ousted Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi.WH spokesman Josh Earnest said the comments were "offensive and unsubstantiated and wrong.
There is a Sunni/Shia factor here, I'm almost positive- but I've not been able to to put it together.
Israel wants war with Iran (around 90% Shia) yesterday. The USG is looking HARD for a pretense while staving off an Israeli attack on Iran to force our hand...
MB is fairly hard right Sunni, right of General Sisi, (an opportunistic military statist Mubarak leftover) who evidently thought enough of Israel to call Netanyahu 3 days before the coup to give him a heads up of what was about to happen. Maybe around 5% of Egypt is Shia, and reportedly suffered more under Morsi than Mubarak, so the coup has been welcomed by them, but haven't heard if the relief has emboldened them to any degree. IDK how many of the core Jan25 crowd are still angry about Morsi being elected instead of El Baradei ( a liberal Sunni that would treat Shia as humans) enough to get in the streets and stand next to the MB. That would be weird. But since El Baradei left the country after being appt. interim VP by Sisi due to the violence, I imagine anger has give way to fear for them. It looks like chaos, but part of me knows nothing is as it appears. If I had to guess, I would say given Saudi Arabia's( over 90% hard Sunni) promise to cover all aid lost to Egypt by the West while they crush the MB, Hezbollah (100% Shia) on tour as are the hard Sunni tards from EVERYWHERE, it just FEELS like a sectarian bulbous cyst that can only be excised by (IDK exactly how but...) Iran being bombed. Because LORD FORBID we just say it isn't really our damned business and fuck Israel.
