This is not a new word for me. I don't believe in the Jungian, neo-Aristotlean version of the collective subconscious, etc. However, you may find this book interesting reading. Goes into the "hundredth monkey" phenomenon. And, just for today, I am appropriating it and redistributing it (Oh noes!) -

I think Sheldrake's "morphogenetic fields" are actually best explained by looking at time as a form of energy, the father of all other energies in fact. As, ipso facto, no change is possible without time. It also appears everywhere instantaneously, and affects everything, as he says.

Thank You for Your response!  I am familiar with Sheldrake.  Very interesting ideas indeed.  I visited that link (first one) and nothing worked for Me - I clicked "PDF" and got some russian line I did not translate...  LOL!

But I'm not sure what Sheldrake's work has to do with stigmergy, the infolded seed parameters We all carry giving Us the instruction set of how We respond on an immediate basis to information received.

EDIT to add:  I don't buy the Jungian, neo-Aristotlean version of the collective subconscious, etc., either...
