Imagine a small tiny drone that you can launch from your hand, capable of obtaining 360 degree views, a drone that is inherently stable and actually inspired by a maple seed.

Lockheed Martin is behind the design and plans to make them even smaller and adding swarm capabilities.

The head of Lockheed Martins Robotics Lab was quoted recently saying;

“Think about dropping a thousand of these out of an aircraft,” said Bill Borgia ….Think about the wide area over which one collect imagery. Instead of sending one or two expensive, highly valuable aircraft like we do today, you could send thousands of these inexpensive aircraft, and they are almost expendable.”

The following video details the Maple Seed Drones;

heres where the genius' are getting more stupid....for crying out loud, ya make something that can easily fit under the heel of a boot or the back of a rolled up magazine then its easily deactivated and useless.

Fischer-Price making these for ya then then???

H, not if they are using state of the art materials such as carbon fibre and carbon nanotubes - remember that the peons pick up the tab for their own enslavement, plus these things will be made for export too. We need opensource EMP countermeasures.

something that size to me, is still vulnerable as hell, might not break it, but sure it can be mangled beyond usefullness. Seems to me that these systems are using GPS...which is UNENCRYPTED......hmmmmmmmm ;)
