Alright you Teccies! The ARRL 10 Meter contest is on this weekend!!!

Fire-up those 10 meter rigs and stretch their legs a bit. Who cares about the contest part of it...there WILL be action on your 10 meter band this weekend. Looks like Africa will be active from the states. Other exotic places are sure to please.

This is a Tech Class gold mine so it is. There are rules to compete but none to participate so fire up those Antrons and G5RV's because the potential will not be as good as this for some time to come!!

Not much into contesting, but this will definitely give me a chance to listen and see what the A99 can do. Never did get it up the 15 feet more that I want it, but it tops out at about 32 feet, so will see.

Thanks

Ya me either, not into contesting but you could make a load of contacts and excercise the finals a bit. Just to stay with it and all. No need to compete to participate just log some contacts.

I don't think the Antron will be at a disadvantage in this environment with so many stations calling and listening with their preamps on. You may have to wait in a pile-up but you'll get through just fine I'm sure.

Just didn't want you all to miss out on this busy weekend seeing how 10 meters is normally dead lately.... I'll be in there filling up the E-log with some long awaited 10m contacts. Good Luck
Well todays action was pretty typical for 10 meters as of late. Only local (upto 45 miles) contacts were made during the contest today.
The band really opened up tonight. Multiple contacts to MI IN GA and OH. Opened up around 9:00 up here....
