Wal-Mart 'urgent' memo urges improvement at U.S. stores: NYT
(Reuters) - Wal-Mart stores Inc issued an "urgent agenda" memo to its store managers across the United States last month, laying out guidelines to boost sales of "chilled and fresh" food, the New York Times reported.
The memo, marked "highly sensitive", asks Wal-Mart marketing managers to make sure they discount aging meat and baked goods to maximize chances of selling them before their expiration dates, according to the report.

Battling a stronger dollar? lol!!! I think perhaps the opposite is going on???
Look at how much Walmart is dependent on food stamps sales. It's really pathetic if you ask me. Walmart's a slave to welfare too. Oh, pity the fool who becomes king of the retail world, reaps in billions of profits, keeps their employees living on slave wages and then cries poor when the poorest of their patrons (including their employees) don't have the money to by their crap products. Oh... the irony!!!
