File Sharing users have established a Religion/Cult/Philosophy named “The Missionary Church of Kopimism” and issued an application in Sweden to become an Official Religion. “The application was rejected in early April this year,” Philosophy student Isak Gerson told TorrentFreak. Isak is such a religious file-sharer and its on his unique belief system he founded The Church which outlines that copying is a sacred act.  In the hope that they could help prevent persecution for their beliefs, the church then filed a request to be officially accepted by the authorities but was rejected in April.

Despite this early setback, the Missionary Church of Kopimism wasn’t going to give up. For a church that holds CTRL+C and CTRL+V as sacred symbols, filing a new application wasn’t too hard. This week more bad news arrived informing the group that once again they had been denied the right to start a church in Sweden.

“This time, we can’t really see any real reason for our denial. We adjusted our application just the way the Swedish authorities needed, and they still denied us the right to form a church,” founder Isak Gerson told TorrentFreak.

File Sharing has Official political party’s (“The Pirate Party“) and an upcoming Region ( “The Missionary Church of Kopimism”) that has some hurdles to get over before being officialy recognised. Where is its trade union?
