The days of gas prices are going up and up and up. But what is going to happen when your battery power runs low and batteries become dead. We need to discuss what can we do about keeping in touch with Alex Jones on a dead radio receiver. This group is about about stocking up on emergency shortwave radios, building a crystal set, and charging up your cell phone with a potato. I am not kidding! You tube and books at the library is a great start. Also while the internet is online, please take full advantage of it as much as you can. Yahoo! Groups has other groups about these things. Lets start off with alternative power :
Solar Power - We know about this, but it can be expensive if the materials go up. We must stock up on these solar cells no matter how bad they are or if they work or not.
Generator Power - This requires some know how of magnets and wire, there is a you tube video on how to make a crank generator using magnet wire and a DC converter to charge up your radio's batteries or cell phone.
Wind Power - This is very expensive, and you must alot of out door space to do this. And wind. It's possible. More on this soon.
Candle Power is another way to power up using candles.
