"Where is the gratitude???"

Where is the gratitude? You ignorant racist. If you were captured, enslaved in a cage, brought to Africa and the same things were done to YOU would you be grateful? Grateful for what you ignorant racist?

"Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans."

That is just the most racist and bigoted statement I've ever seen. White people did NOTHING to lift up black people. These elements of social conscience were designed to lift up ALL poor people, black, white, hispanic and others.

"Untold trillions have been spent since the '60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream."

Designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream? You ignorant racist! These were designed to bring poor white, hispanic and black people up a notch or two, but NOT into the mainstream. In a racist white society there IS NO mainstream for poor black, white and hispanic people.

"Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks."

I can't even believe that YOU believe this absolute CRAP. These are outright lies. None of this was done to help "black folks," to use your term. These were affirmative action plans designed to quiet malcontent and discord. Sacrifices the white man made to quell the chance of uprising, not GIFTS. You are the most racist, bigoted and ignorant person I think I've ever met.

"reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known"

That is perhaps the most ignorant, racist, bigoted, foul, ridiculous, absurd statement I've ever seen.

Blacks were free and prosperous in Africa BEFORE the Christians and Jews captured them, caged them like animals and sold them forever into slavery. This is a disgusting part of human history that you're trying to justify somehow and it can't be justified. What an absolutely ignorant line of thinking. You are a racist of the worst type.

"America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known."

What a biased, racist, ignorant perspective. Yes, Christian salvation created SLAVERY! Where millions of black people were captured like common animals and were then bought and sold into slavery by the great Christian masses. Their religion, their language and their culture was completely destroyed by the Christians who believe their god is superior to the African gods. What absolute racist nonsense.

You are an ignorant bigoted racist if you believe ANYTHING you've typed here Patriot Horse.

"reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known"

Blacks were FREE and PROSPEROUS before they were bought and sold into slavery by the Christian crazies. The Christians that sold them into slavery were racist, bigoted, war mongers and psychotic slave drivers, not saviours.

The two state solution, while highly unlikely, is really the only fair option for a people that have been severely oppressed by Israel for almost 100 years. The people of Gaza have my support. They've experienced enough at the hands of an Apartheid oppression. Religion is used to divide us all and it works. Unite. We're all one, Arabs, Jews, Christians, Muslims, all of us are just people trying to survive.

If you believe differently it's time you consulted your god and asked him or her about humanity. We're supposed to love one another. That means Muslims too. Let's recognize Palestine as a sovereign state first. Let's allow Palestine to have an army and nuclear weapons like Israel has, first. Or, let's ask Israel to allow International Inspection teams to inspect their nuclear armaments, first. Let's demolish the Apartheid Wall that Israel is building, first. Let's tell Israel that we won't accept another Apartheid style "Berlin Wall" in the 21st Century. Let's be fair and honest.

We both chose and unfortunately no one really knows who made the right choice. There are people who believe in the Jewish religion who believe they chose correctly as much as you do and for the same reasons, and those who believe in Tao, Buddhism, Islam and other religions and they believe as strongly as you for the same reasons you do and what's more, they have that right.

Whatever my belief I have the same rights to be here on this web site as you do and you have no right whatsoever to tell me to 'give it a rest' which fosters and promotes itself as a scornful and pompous response. If I'm curious about reading what's here that's my own business and you have absolutely no right, none at all, to tell me to leave or to question my joining, none. Normal people don't behave that way.

I'm not certain who you think you are. Your ego seems to have walked away with your soul. If I'm curious about this religion and it's current beliefs I have a right to inquire and to ask questions of those here and further, I have a right to reasonable answers. Or, do people have to accept your religion before they can ask questions about it? It seems like your perspective isn't conducive to gaining new converts. And it appears as though you don't practice what you preach, at all. I didn't ask to be your best friend, I ask questions and promoted ideas that are different than yours, things anyone might do that isn't a Christian. As a Christian one would think you would be pleased to answer them or provide anecdotal evidence to the contrary instead of being curt and condescending, ungracious and rude.

Having been accused by you of dissing your savior is uncomfortable, patently incorrect and my only recourse is to believe you desired to inflict discomfort on me. Your brusque and discourteous manner is indicative of a person holding contempt. Your obvious desire to quote clipped scripture and walk away shows disdain. Is that what you feel for all non-believers? I'm not worthy of conversation?

Thank god not everyone has your impolite demeanor.

I have never spewed poison but you seem to come from it. If you're confident in your belief you should be able to tolerate other beliefs I would think. We're all humans on the planet facing the same enemies in the long run.

Why would I not have as much right to be here as anyone else? I thought tolerance and love were a part of your dogma?

I've never dissed your saviour either. To say you were once like me only shows your limited perspective. I've never been like anyone else nor has anyone else been like me. We're all unique based on our lifetime of experiences. No two the same. The fact that you have a belief in anything and that it's strong and comforting is fine with me. My beliefs are only different and the only one who believes they conflict is you.

How you equate my perspective that we are all humans, that we are all equal and that we are all brothers with hate is beyond me. Perhaps it's natural for Christians to see those that believe differently than them to be haters and believe that they themselves are the only ones capable of love. You aren't so lucky to be able to monopolize love.

I hate no one that is simply a man or woman, and in fact hate no one that is revered as more than that, I just feel sad that there are people that believe that a man who might have lived 1000s of years ago is something other than just a man.
