In the early morning hours of August 31st, Peaceful Streets Project members were in downtown Austin documenting the activities of police. Well after officers violently took down a drunk person who smacked a police horse, Officer Sebek, badge # 3454 intentionally hits Antonio Buehler from behind, which was partially caught by another PSP filmer. When Buehler asked Sebek why he did so, or if it was just an accident, Sebek said it was "probably" an accident. He also refused to give his name and badge number. Only after continued requests did Sebek allow Buehler to read off his name and badge number as he continues to walk away.

Police chief Art Acevedo and Austin Police Association president Wayne Vincent have repeatedly tried to portray the members of the Peaceful Streets Project as a threat to the safety of the police, however, it is clear by the actions of certain members of APD that the police are the ones who are a threat to the safety of the people. Art Acevedo and Wayne Vincent have yet to apologize for any of the aggressive or violent actions of the members of the Austin Police Department.
