The Libertarian Party of Florida (LPF) recently called for Florida's sheriffs to arrest TSA agents who violate the 4th Amendment of US Constitution, Article 1 Section 12 of the Florida Constitution, and Florida Statute 794.011 by groping and molesting Florida citizens. Now the LPF is firing another shot across the bow of the TSA today.
The LPF is now calling for a rally of over 100 tea party and liberty-minded groups to rally at the Florida Sheriff's Association meeting on July 31, 2011.
We at Wake Up 1776 wholeheartedly support this effort. If you are in Florida, and care about our liberties, please support this effort. We must stop the TSA at the airports or they will be in our malls and on our roads. If you can't make the rally on the 31st, please still do what you can to support this effort. We must stop the TSA at the airports. Florida is the battleground. This is the main issue we will be fighting for this year in Florida. When we win this one, we will move on to another issue.
Here are some things you can do to support this cause:
-Use the links at the bottom to share this article to your Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, Blog, etc.
-Post on articles and blogs around the web about your opinion about the TSA
-Tell your friends and family
-Call your state representatives and ask them to support bills in the Florida House and Senate that nullify Federal TSA involvement in our Florida Airports
-Call your local sheriff and report TSA molestation, ask them to uphold the US Constitution, the Florida Constitution, and Florida Statutes
-Make a youtube video about your support
-Video tape all TSA molestation encounters and upload them to youtube
-Support the Tenth Amendment Center
-Go to local political, 9-12, tea party, and similar meetings to gain influence
-Write a letter to the editor of your local paper
For a sample bill that you can recommend to your state legislator, please go to this link. This bill example is a base and obviously should be expanded with more protections and teeth. The expansion should have more language that includes:
1. Fining TSA Agents up to $10,000 plus emotional damages for molestation, groping, and humiliation
2. Arresting TSA Agents and putting them in jail
3. Providing protections for all whistleblowers
4. Providing protections for travel
5. Providing protections for the right to video tape TSA Agents in order to have evidence
6. Providing protections from naked body scanners for passengers
7. Providing damages for saving any naked body scanner images
8. Providing damages for any naked body scanner images that are leaked
9. Outlawing TSA from leaving their jurisdiction of the airports
10. Creating a requirement that all TSA agents must be cleared by the Florida Attorney General and a criminal and sexual background check must be performed before they can set foot in a Florida airport
11. Establishing a TSA abuse hotline and a State Trooper TSA response unit
12. Putting one State Trooper in all major Florida Airports to supervise TSA actions
13. Providing state Attorney General protections for all Florida citizens who are molested by the TSA
