I have said it many times and truly believe this to be a must. Before anyone can graduate from Hig School, a requirement should be thye have to work in Customer Service for at least a year. Yup,…Continue

@Bryan Good Luck, but I doubt it the way the economy is right now...I don't really expect it to come back either. If the jackasses in Congress don't fix their spending habits, the Euro crashing will kill the dollar anyway :/ I wouldn't worry about paying student loans. When you have the money, pay it. If not, what do they expect you to do? Rob a bank?
@youhavetoforgiveme, i'm pretty much in the same boat. i HAVE a job. not much luck finding another. as for college my stance remains the same. am i going to find a job when i'm done? if not, how do i pay my loans?
@nikki, hang in there.
If my daughter weren't in college, I would leave ASAP.
Thanks Nikki, glad we left CA (long story except to say for financial reasons). My job doesn't exactly pay much, but I try to remember that I HAVE a job. I stopped "looking for better" outside my company months ago :/
It would be nice to have a job to bitch about but there just aren't any good jobs in California.

a very good point maria! at the same time i would just like to state that i started this group not only for fun, because it can be fun to go on a rant from time to time. but also for my own need to vent. not that i don't have friends that listen. just because the one that was best at it is no longer in my life. i know, so sad. it is what it is and i'm doing a lot better then i was do to the good friends i do have.
Well, I have been invited and accepted, even after explaining I no longer work due to disabilities. I am totally unemployable at this point in my life. However, I worked over 30 years in Customer Service before I had to quit work so I can relate to just about anything. These years were spent behind the bar and the last 10 behind the bars and managing the 2 bars at a Country Club. I was always in the, "I see nothing" mode when I worked.
I got to tell you, I truly do miss it. But I had my times with General managers and others as well so I am sure I will be able to add to venting. In fact, I think it will be fun. One blog I love to read is The Angry Pharmacist. If you've never read it do a search and get your laughs for the day.
There is talk here about being a good employee and the not the best employee. I have seen that when you do a good job you get all the extras where they need someone who has their head on straight. In a way, a really good emoloyee can get the shaft because they are the one's who are always wanted to work, so sometimes it can be hard to get time off. The quicker and smarter and better you are, the more you end up asked to do everything. Hey, that's a nice compliment but it's nice to have a life outside of work too.
