The Bill of Rights being amended to the Constitution was a concession made by the framers in order to get it ratified by the States. The BoR doesn't grant any rights, rather protects those that we are born with.
The First Amendment protects freedom of speech, religious preference(or lack thereof), press, protest and redress of grievances. Of course free communication about technology is included in free speech.
The BoR is intended to protect the People from the "ruling class" while many later amendments used legalize to trick people into voluntary servitude. (Read my blog entry titled, Sedition by Syntax).

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will meet members of the Syrian opposition in Geneva today, in a gesture of support for them in the face of an eight-month crackdown by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
US officials said Clinton would meet seven opposition members in Geneva, where she is to give a speech on human rights. It will be her second such meeting in six months, following a similar gathering in Washington in July.

(Tehran, FNA) The Fars News Agency has confirmed with the Republican Guard’s North American Operations Command that a new elite Iranian commando team is operating in the U.S.-Mexican border region. The primary day-to-day mission of the team, known as the Joint Special Operations Gulf of Mexico Task Force, or JSOG-MTF, is to mentor Mexican military units in the border areas in their war with the deadly drug cartels. The task force provides “highly trained personnel that excel in uncertain environments,” Maj. Amir Arastoo, a spokesman for Republican Guard special operations forces in North America, tells Fars, and “seeks to confront irregular threats...”
The unit began its existence in mid-2009 -- around the time that Washington rejected the Iranian leadership’s wish for a new diplomatic dialogue. The recurring blueprint is so obvious and what the puppet politicians say to justify its various stages are almost word for word the same. Hillary Clinton's speeches about Gaddhafi have basically only replaced his name with Assad before being redelivered to save the paper.
The desperation to crack on with more killing and conquest on the road to an attack on Iran is making it so easy to see what the game is. How appropriate that the Libyan National Transitional Council - now recognised as the 'legitimate' government of the country - has pledged to give $100 million in 'humanitarian aid' (yeah, right) to the Syrian 'opposition civilians and activist rebel forces'.
Syria's opposition forces have been 'given permission' to open an office in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and that is only right given that many of the 'rebels' that fought against Gaddhafi on NATO's behalf are now on the ground in Syria doing the same to unseat Assad. 'Radical Jihadists' (what the American government calls 'Al-Qaeda') are also in Syria targeting the Assad regime, as they were in Libya.
Hypocrisy often comes with an enormous dose of irony, but then 'my enemy's enemy is my friend'.
'Hey, Abdul, we've got the wrong flag - we're in Syria now. Quick, who's got a Syrian flag?'

Does U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton want confrontation and war in the Middle East or dialogue, reconciliation and peace? Her pronouncements and policies during her visit to the region last weekend suggest impatient belligerence. She seems intent on spreading mayhem, to the puzzlement and anxiety of many of the locals, as I discovered on a visit which coincided with hers.
