hello and thank you for the welcome.
  • 7R33SandR0P3S

    I hope this helps

I was having thoughts of you earlier today.
I think I have read that you do some vocal performance & song writing.
    Is that correct?
I was thinking maybe you might want to take a listen to a song that I am working on.

    Tara,
Just a reminder about the Emerging Artist recordings being played on Coast to Coast AM on the First Sunday of the month, which is this coming Sunday. This music replaces the normal bumper music for the evening and morning.
http://www.590klbj.com/Other/Stream.html. but it doesn't start till 100AM your time, sorry. Darn time zones. Great article btw thx.

Well a man come on the 6 o'clock news
Said somebody's been shot, somebody's been abused
    Somebody blew up a building
    Somebody stole a car
    Somebody got away
Somebody didn't get too far yeah
    They didn't get too far

Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street for all the people to see that

    (Chorus)
Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
We'll all meet back at the local saloon
We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds
We've got too much corruption, too much crime in the streets
It's time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground
Send 'em all to their maker and he'll settle 'em down
You can bet he'll set 'em down 'cause

    (Chorus x2)

Tara, I need your help. How can I add a MP3 audio file from my computer to a blog? Thanks.
  • leahlovesmatis

Nice to meet you. Thank you for adding me :)
  • scuba

    thx to all!
  • Nikki

Tara, thanks, I was doing a bit of experimenting and here's what I discovered. You can upload an MP3 file to a post but it doesn't play. It needs to be converted to a video file and then uploaded as a video. However, if it's too big it won't upload. The solution for a large file is to make a YouTube video and then upload it. In some posts here audio files were successfully copied and pasted within articles but I haven't found an easy way to add the MP3 player to a post. Some blog hosting sites offer the MP3 option but most don't. Here's a helpful post you might want to bookmark in case you are asked this question again.

yesterday was basically just a pow wow to see what we should keep and what we should throw out. Naming the record, figuring out run times, the boring crap. Actual recording will start Sunday, its going to be new stuff w/ new people. My long time friend, John Cambell of "Lamb of God" is on Bass, I'm doing the drums and vocals, Dave Brockie of GWAR MAY be doing guitar, he's so damn busy with Oderous Umungus lately. Plus he's so wishy washy, one day he's in, the next he's not. If not, we got Willy Adler, also from LoG may do all the lead guitar stuff. My brother may do the drums, leaving me w/ rythym guitar and lead vocals. Like I say, its soooo early yet lol. Album name I got is awesome "Nu-clear Day" on 1 side and "New Clear Day" on the other side, of course one side being all pretty and flowers and trees and sun, then the other would be mushroom cloud, devastation, fire, etc. (just an idea)
Studio in RIchmond Va, where we all are from. Its going to be everything that we don't do in our respective bands (LoG,GWAR, Meatmen), so no metal death punk....lmao. We're gonna try some Zeppelin style blues and rock, All originals. name of the band???....might be "Winkin Sphincter", or toss up on "Gypsy Row" or "Single Bullet Theory"....not sure what this projects gonna be called yet. will let ya know how it goes ;)
....well lets hear some of your stuff girl... W00t!!!
  • Central Scrutinizer

I grew up in MN just a couple blocks from the "Mall of America". I moved south when I was 20 and have been away ever since. Now my summers are hot, hot, hot in Texas, but that's okay since I teach a/c repair. It's nice to meet you here at 12160.
