The Florida Department of State has asked federal prosecutors to investigate altered official state election documents that may be tied to the Florida Democratic Party.
The department is concerned about “irregularities” related to the vote-by-mail process in at least four counties, Politico reported.
Naturally, one of the counties was Broward Country — home of notorious Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes and Florida’s ground zero for election “irregularities.” The others were Citrus, Okaloosa and Santa Rosa.
According to Politico, the altered documents were sent to voters whose mail-in ballots had been rejected but were being given a chance to correct the problems before Election Day.
Those documents, known as “cure affidavits,” were required to be turned in by 5 p.m. on Nov. 5, the day before the election. Some of the documents sent to voters, though, had been altered to show the deadline was 5 p.m. Nov. 8, two days after the election.
