Naomi is 99% right but the intent wouldn't be strictly having working class fired (they are his future customers) so not his competiton they are user units ready to be poached later, and they'll pay for that empoachment. He itches to be First into the AI superpower arena so therefore going up against the giant Google monster. The tactics are swift and ruthless and the whole AI outfit seems deceptive in both its words and actions. Profit and power first the name of the game here and shocking market practices by the looks of it. I almost feel sorry for google monster but not sorry enough to ever join them cause wth their pages and pages of fine print but they are transparent at least unlike him. A new book out 'Empire of AI' sums up exactly what's going on.
