A recent survey by the Pew Center for the People and the Press found that most Americans are much more satisfied with their state and local governments than they are with the federal government.
According to the survey, the results of which you can view here, 57 percent of respondents said they held a “favorable” view of state government compared to just 28 percent for Washington, D.C.
What’s more telling is this statistic: more than six in 10 – 63 percent – hold a favorable opinion of local government, though clearly there is a constitutional and corruption crisis occurring locally that often is unmatched on the federal level, according to a group seeking to draw attention to misconduct by local officials.
