This clause is often not respected but it works when you make it work. I have no respect for the UN but if they are going to dish up something I can utilise then I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. From what I have learnt this declaration has more strength than the BOR in sticky situations. Not only does it regard Religion but also freedom of Thought and Conscience. It enables one to Manifest ( his Own Individual ) Reasoning to practice that observance. ( that he decides fit ) And there is little room for debate.
