They refuse to have a healthy fear of their Creator in Heaven, choosing and preferring to cling to their fallen pride and embrace the deathly morbid fear of lies of fallen ungrateful unrepentant men and the father of lies. "If you had said 'We do not see!', you could be forgiven. But you say 'We see!'. Your sin remains!" They will have an eternity to to answer for their choice.
