In 1980, Otto Frank sued two Germans, Ernst Romer and Edgar Geiss, for distributing literature denouncing the diary as a forgery. The trial produced a study by official German state forensic bureau, the Bundes Kriminal Amt [BKA] forensically examined the manuscript, which at that point in time consisted of three hardbound notebooks and 324 loose pages bound in a fourth notebook, with special forensic equipment. In the end, BKA clearly determined that none of the diary handwriting matched known examples of Anne's handwriting. The bureau determined that everything in the diary was written by the same person. The person that wrote the diaries had used a ballpoint pen throughout. Unfortunately for Herr Frank, the ballpoint pen was not available until 1951 whereas Anne was known to have died of typhus in 1944.
The German magazine, Der Spiegel, published an account of this report stating that;-
(a) some editing postdated 1951;
(b) Experts had held that all the writing in the journal was by the same hand; and thus –
(c) the entire diary was a postwar fake.

Otto Frank himself admitted that the Anne Frank Diary was altered. He infered that Anne Frank did not like his first wife and that the important last 2 years up to 1944 were missing from her notes, why are they missing for what reason are not the most important piece of Holcaust writtings not complete!? Why was the other notes annotied? Why add things to them if they are pure and in Anne Frank's own hand writting.........is part of her diary stating that she did not die in the gass chambers but dying of Tyfoid?
Every schoolchild in Canada between 1966 to 1980 lived and breathed that Anne Frank had been stuck in the gass chamber and Anne Frank was loyal to her own father, but in that diary did she have misgivings about Otto Frank's first wife, apparently her remarried and she liked the second wife better so in other words the first wife acted like a tyrant to Anne Frank.
The true author of the diary was Jewish novelist Meyer Levin, who demanded and was awarded $50,000 in payment for his work in a court action against Anne's father, Otto Frank.
A sapling grown from the tree that Nazi victim Anne Frank wrote about while in hiding was celebrated Wednesday at the US Capitol as a "living testament" to one of the Holocaust's most cherished victims.
