Could it be that B.G. is an AI controlled drone who seeks to advance the goals of the advanced AI that has already achieved singularity. His actions that are destructive to humanity look like that is the force that makes him tick. Psychopaths are driven by selfish greed and hunger for power. As an owner of a leading software provider he was very close to the most advanced AI. Having unlimited access to the advanced AI he could easily have it giving him investment advice and guidelines for achieving more power and self gratification. Fulfilment of perversions, who knows? Psychopaths, even useful for advancing the goals of higher intelligence, are probably not what the arising powers would like to keep alive when taking over. It's hard to think how greed, dishonesty and desire for more power would eventually help the coming society driven by superior intelligence. Humanity would be at mercy of an unlimited reasoning power. Who, if any of us, would they leave to breathe the air of this world. The psychopaths would be the first to go into oblivion. All deception starts with self deception.
