You ought to do an in-depth study of the effects of synthetic allantoin (natural has small amounts of virulent toxins like pyrrolidizines). Everyone should have kilos of synthetic allantoin on hand, along with Folic Acid, or Folate. For wound healing, microbicide, etc.

Unfortunately, mainstream medicine's co-opting of silver has resulted in some pathogenic microbes developing a resistance to it.

The silver impregnated muslin gauze is known by the trade name of Silverlon. It may require a prescription I am not sure. I can check for you if you like.  I read about it years ago and even contacted the Orthopedic surgeon that came up with this idea.  I am an RN and I worked once at a burn center in North Carolina. They had Silverlon in their burn cart in surgery. This item relieves pain and enhances healing with the antimicrobial actions of the silver particles.

I have come by some blue training CATs and am getting some Gen 7s - N.B.  not the Chinese airsoft / wargame knockoffs that are being marketed by some as the real thing.

Like everything I guess it has specific applications - i.e gunshot wounds - but apparently some surgeons are critical of it.

What is in the wound coagulant? Is it Quick Clot? If not then that would be the best choice.  I have not seen what your first aid kit consisted of. What about adding a SAM splint and a tourniquet? Antimicrobial alternatives include Silver gel and silver impregnated muslin gauze. Honey is antimicrobial as well and can be put in wounds. Add as many battle dressings as possible for major incidents. The Surgipad is an example of an ABD pad or Army Battle Dressing.

The war is inevitably coming to ALL of US, no matter where we are.
