Back in my late teens / early 20s, a straight razor was my signature personal "defense" weapon. It is very effective because of the demoralizing effect of the freely-bleeding, if shallow, wounds, often defensive wounds caused by trying to block with the arms. One has to be like a dancer to be effective with them, as you cannot stab. In any case, my brother just made me a gift of a very large straight razor. Thanks, bro, it means much to me. I've often looked at items online that I wanted, over decades, before spending all my $$ on research materials (for my inventing work) instead. This is one of them. Reminds me of something out of the film, Jeepers Creepers, LOL. Reminds me of better times.
