While Uber is busy fighting municipalities to discourage additional ride-share regulation, a new storm is brewing that Uber will have to address. This time it may impact logistics around America’s most beloved sporting event: The Super Bowl.
To start the new year, Uber implemented a price reduction for fares in many major cities. The cuts were celebrated by riders using the Uber application. However, drivers were upset with how the new changes affect their take-home pay. Rather than trim the mandatory Uber service fees, Uber trimmed the per mile rate that was fare that went mostly to the drivers.
