Joe, thank you. the group, "Fervent (but Polite) Debate" is awaiting approval. I have much to say on this subject, as the spiritual, or paranormal has happened to me, on several occasions. I also have much in the way of rhetorical arguments, and evidence, for the existence of the spiritual as an objective reality. And criticisms of things like mainstream evolutionary theory. We should hash these things out, to the best of our ability, as we will be learning for as long as we live. And I have a feeling that no one is getting their way completely, as to how the world is.

Please, everyone, it doesn't help for the members here to be fighting one another. I'm sorry for the agitating post I made here. The Christian God gave us free will to choose. I was not born with all the knowledge I have now, and I have been wrong about things in the past. I am likely wrong in some of my opinions in this moment, and no doubt will be in the future. I very much doubt that I am wrong in my opinions on religion. However, nobody could have ever changed any of my opinions by arguing with me, as I am stubborn. I had to figure things out myself, and others have to as well.

In addition, I very much doubt that many will ever agree with me on my political views. When I was on the (now defunct) libertyforum dot org, I interacted politely with Jews, communists, and others I stridently disagreed with. We can do that here, can we not? We also had terrible flame wars, by the way, and eventually got tired of insulting each other. It's kind of silly.

Since I try not to curse the darkness without lighting a candle, I'll form a group for debating the spiritual vs materialist views. Or maybe for (politely) debating contentious issues in general. Good enough?
