This is a good quote but Chomsky is using his freedom of expression very selectively, either because he's paid to do it or hasn't yet figured out the facts. I believe it is the first. In other words he's a gatekeeper. I would take the idea of freedom of speech a step further to a civil duty of speaking the truth and disclose the facts without holding back important information.
