Thanks for posting, Joe. I know how he felt. The FBI showing up at my door when I was 27, and accusing me of blowing up a building (and several individuals) was, I'm sure, a harbinger of things to come. But, we all are going to die at some point. When I do, I want to make sure that my life was well-used in the pursuit of making the world a better place.

That's right Joe, it takes a brave man indeed to translate the bible. When the missionaries first came to my country to translate the Bible into oceanic languages in the 1800s they well knew that if their work was met with disapproval they would be roasted and eaten. The British would not even send their own criminals here because of how repulsed they were. (they did however export their insane and some others from the Highland Clearances) The Bible was first promoted as 'stories' of "Good News" and gifts had to be offered. There was very little 'written' language at the time.
