Also, if they cannot collect, issuer of the instrument (ticket) has to pay the fee. For the same reason lawyers bring checkbooks to court, no conviction- pay up, you sucker! The books must always be balanced.

Catching motorists breaking the law has turned into a creative, undercover mission in Australia.

A window washer at the traffic lights might be something you usually ignore, but some motorists were surprised to find that the man posing as a squeegee guy was in fact an undercover cop.

Australian police officers have moved on from the traditional methods of parking cars behind bushes and relying on red light cameras to try and catch motorists in the act, breaking the law.

The undercover cop was spotted dressed in a high-vis shirt and backwards cap, while holding a squeegee and speaking into a radio.
