Good analogy Doc V but we have word 'wireless' enter linguistics and it all went down hill from there  cord or no cord. I recall even hearing my Grandparents using the word wireless as if in a lingering Mandela effect of imminent doom. When The real wireless (big bakelite radio) went portable and Was wireless everyone had personal transistor radios they could Carry with them at all times, but they became verbal lunatics in public places. ( live horse racing, current affairs talk-back, news, sports loss, and repetitive songs would be triggers for bad behaviour ) It's much worse now with a Phone being a radio or anything else you want it to be. I don't carry one round but I'm the only individual I know of. "no facebooks off line" ~ "twitters back"~ "my feeds gone" ~"I haven't met community standards"~ "Me too" "anyone got a charger" "~ why an airplane mode I don't want to be above ground"~ " Get my text" ~" no"

I know people that should have an umbilcal cord tied o them and their damn cell phone!
