Be A Part Of The New 12160 News Brief, If Your Interested Leave A Comment.
This news brief will be about 15min long and consist of short 2-3min clips of YOU the members reading and going over the most important news of the week ether audio or video(video preferred). It can be opinion and analysis as well whatever you think would be informative and entertaining. Then just upload the clip as friend only possibly private I believe you can still give out the video source URL as private, we'll find out. Myself and others will edit the clips together into a 15min youtube clip that will also be posted here at 12160.
About copyright, you can read an entire news article as long as you are commenting on it (fair use). Please leave out any music that isn't your own or where you don't have permission. Youtube is notorious for attacking even less than 30second music clips that are legal. If you want certain clips of news or youtube clips note in the upload page what you want where it is and what part of the clip to put into the video. Quality wise its better this way. I know Alex Jones has gotten attacked for legal uses of news clips by youtube so I'm hesitant to even use them unless they are vital.
I'd like to get the first video out in 2 weeks then 1 per week there after. If you are interested in this mission comment below even if you don't particularly want to speak or be on video we need talents and help in tech areas as well.
A note about topic and content, I'm not a censor but I want this news brief to be credible please don't send in reptile, planet x, the totally unproven subjects. Remember you can always post those on your own here and on youtube. This news brief is something I want people to be able to email to sleeping friends and relatives not just an inter-movement video the we argue about and go no where with.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say about 2 weeks from today maybe less we should be releasing our first video.
All of you who are interested in doing an audio or video clip please DON'T WAIT for orders from headquarters. Pick a topic, a news article or something to comment about and record it. If you have any questions just post them in this blog for now, if this takes off as i hope I'll start a group.
Suggestions on prep: Two things are most important 1. check brightness levels 2. check audio levels don't overdrive volume but have it up pretty high I can always drop the levels its much harder to increase audio levels and maintain quality. Do a sample recording first see how it turned out and adjust accordingly. For this first video I doubt that we are going to have more than 3-4 people participate so shoot for 4 min if you go over no big deal.
Remember we're not "professionals" and no one wants to hear from the "professionals" anymore they want to hear from people just like themselves. Wing it and If all else fails talk on a subject or 2 for like 10 min and I'll do my best to edit it and make you sound good.

Yes, I'm very much interested but I'm sure you already know this because we discussed it in the radio group!
This weekend I'll be laying down my lead vocal tracks for the new disc my band is currently working on and I have a 12160 jingle already in mind. Since I'll be in the studio anyways, I might as well record a jingle or two. I think this could be used for an intro or outro in any future vids made.
Great idea Laser, hope you get a good response. We definetely have enough talent on the site to make this happen.
