One would have thought that Man would have learned immediately, and with great humility, of the tremendously Hell-ish ramifications in store for Humanity if He persisted in playing with nuclear fire as demonstrated by the results of the first A-Bomb test in Nevada in 1945.

But noooooo....Man was immediately enthralled with the potentials that the nuclear Genie could give Him.

So, Man continued to tweak the raw power of the atoms, later moving on to Hydrogen, Thermite and nuclear bomb created EMP bomb bursts up in the very atmosphere that protects all of us from frying to death. "Wow!", he thought, "I can do soooo much damage with these awesome toys. Why, I can even go crazy enough as to threaten every living thing on this planet. Gee, I can even turn the planet into a cinder if I detonate enough of these damnedable creations all at once."

And thus the temptations to curtail his dance with the nuclear beast continued unabated for 53 years (with other lesser numbers of explosions since 1998, unless one calls exploding nuclear power plants a non-bomb matter.)

This video graphic drives home how utterly insane certain people were and are regarding setting off nuclear explosions just to experience the blast and the terrifying mushroom cloud signature.

I wonder what our cosmic neighbors think about all of this? (I'm sure they think we're totally nuts!)
