3 killed in St. Louis workplace shooting; gunman also dead
KSDK-TV reports that three people have died in a St. Louis workplace shooting this morning.
KSDK quotes Police Capt. Sam Dotson as saying that the three were among eight people shot at ABB Power.
Two sources also say that a person believed to be the gunman responsible for the shootings has been removed from the building.
KSDK says its sources indicate the gunman may have shot himself before he was located by police.
Update at 4:23 p.m. ET: The gunman was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the plant. Fire officials identified the shooter as 51-year-old Timothy Hendron of Webster Groves, the Associated Press reports. Police have not yet released his identity.
Hendron was among employees at the plant, which makes transformers, who sued Swiss-owned ABB Group over its retirement benefits, the AP writes. The trial began Tuesday in Kansas City, Mo.
