8 Dems and 43 Repubs signed the letter, which is currently accessible on senate.gov.  (Download it while you can as stuff like this has a habit of disappearing from accessible government records.) It's likely the UN arms treaty issue will rise again in the Senate in September when European banks are predicted to implode, and if not then, definitely during the lame duck session after the November elections.

Also to keep a very close eye on, 7 senators [all Dems - Frank Lautenberg (NJ), Barbara Boxer (CA), Jack Reed (RI), Bob Menendez (NJ), Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), Chuck Schumer (NY) and Dianne Feinstein (CA)] just introduced a gun control amendment to Cyber Security Act 2012, which is currently on its way to the House.

I'm not a proponent of either party. I think both are rotten to the core and DC should undergo a massive clean out. My point is to illustrate that they're still playing party games to distract the public.

Call your senators, call your U.S. representative, call your state legislative representatives to let them know you're watching and keeping track, and that the 2nd amendment is not about arming hunters or national guard or militias but about keeping check on a corrupt government.
