There is probably no more a critical date in the 20th Century or human history than D-Day, the massive amphibious assault on the sandy beaches of Normandy. At that crucial moment in time when General Ike Eisenhower who had just gotten word from his meteorologist that the early summer storms would subside long enough for the landing, and he gave that fateful signal to commence operations! Eisenhower had nervously paced and waited for the stormy weather that had washed out the sand hundreds of yards from the beaches and delayed one of the most significant military operations of all time.

The beginning of the end

Supreme Commander of Operation "Over Lord" Eisenhower had to hold the alliance of French, Canadian, British, and American forces ready to charge head long into certain death waiting on the beaches from the concrete reinforced emplacements designed by Field Marshall Rommel to repel an all out landing and assault. The Germans were poised to inflict grievous damage upon the brave young men who would leap from the Higgins Boats with their M-1 Garand rifles above their heads and wade to shore amidst machine gun fire, artillery rounds, and deadly rifle fire on their way to liberating France and headed for the Reich heartland.

Nature of the fray

Most people realize little that this bloody chess game was played out on a military, spiritual, and social level. Mankind faced the possible oppression of a global fascist government that would have ruthlessly ruled the world with little compassion or humanity!  The cards were on the table but at the same time Tarot Cards, Occult mysticism, and the Astrological signs were being used to fight the Nazis on the astral plane! Evil would meet goodness on several levels in order to gain a foothold on the French shores! All possible assets were being utilized to prevent the German Wehrmacht from pushing the amphibious operation back into the sea! 

Caught off guard

A twist of fate occurred when Field Marshall Rommel headed back to his family home to celebrate his wife's birthday. Hitler was drugged on sleeping pills and his staff were afraid to wake him up. Aside form this US paratroopers were being flown deep behind the front lines and being dropped in order to create chaos and cut lines of communication to further confuse the German Army and delay a counter attack by the Panzer Corps.

Slim odds?

So, the largest amphibious armada in history laying off the French coast attempted to defy the weight of evil never known on such a massive scale before, but worse than that if the attack had been successfully repelled the war most likely would have been prolonged by possibly years due to the losses of men and material as well as the strategic initiative. And what fatal blow would this have facilitated? Delay of the liberation of Europe would have allowed the Nazis to finish their heavy water experiments and build an atomic bomb that they could have delivered anywhere in the world atop their V-2 rocket! They had even created a contingency for a one way Atlantic sea crossing bomber to drop an atomic bomb on New York City! Which would have been a devastating blow! Would the Axis forces have exercised any restraint if they had had to subdue the Allies? No! They would have bombed incessantly until they had forced surrender! 

Sacrifices

One can only reflect on the Jewish workers forced to serve the atomic experiments who were unshielded from the radioactivity and who died in droves acting as laborers for the poisonous cause that might have drown humanity in fallout left up to the German war machine seeking to rid itself of the Allied forces attempting to penetrate the German heart land and stop the war! As fate would have it, we succeeded and the most costly conflict in human history ended with the tip of that spear beginning on the beaches of Normandy. I fear that the fools of the present will make sure that his gruesome lesson will be forgotten by the brainwashed fools of the politically correct factions too lobotomized to appreciate what must be considered God's divine will. As terrible as it all was it could have been even worse and mankind would have been stranded on a prison planet! Yet, isn't that what the left today is trying to do? Few know that General Eisenhower was so  uncertain for the chances of victory that he had already typed out his letter of resignation should the invasion have failed!
