7 dead in California school shooting; suspect in custody
Police in Oakland say they have taken into custody a man they believe killed seven people and wounded three more in a classroom shooting at a Korean Christian university Monday.

Emergency officials respond after a shooting Monday at Oikos University in Oakland.
Oakland Police spokeswoman Johnna Watson said the gunman entered Oikos University around 10:30 a.m. The school is in an industrial area near the Oakland airport. It shares an address and phone number with the Praise God Korean Church.
Police spokeswoman Cynthia Perkins told USA TODAY that seven people were dead.
