A Dictator In The Oval Office? What Congress Can Do!

What The Obama Presidency Tells Us

In seven years of America under siege thanks to the executive order powered presidency of Barack Hussein Obama what have we the people learned? What compels future generations of American citizens to reconsider as a result of what has transpired on Capitol Hill in the two terms we have endured under the present administration? That question brings with it an evaluation based upon the complete lack of acknowledgment by the president for the US Constitution and the authority of Congress. That evaluation brings with it a conviction from the pages of history that have already warned us about despotic rulers who are so self important that due process of law simply does not occur to them.

A string of missteps

In the past 14 months alone President Obama has forged an international climate agreement with China without reliable scientific data to back up an arbitrary consensus, the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement was ratified through a secretive process that Jeff Sessions described as being to the detriment of American trade interests, and executive amnesty for 5 million illegal aliens presently living in the US. It didn't stop there with a dangerously unenforceable Iran Nuke Deal that has already been violated with 2 medium range missile launchings. In that same amount of time the president also moved to normalize foreign relations with Cuba, a nation that allowed Russian missiles with nuclear capability to be constructed secretly until US Air Force reconnaissance photos revealed the sites and led President John F. Kennedy to confront the Soviet Union in a potential World War III standoff.

Definition of a presidency

The presidency of the United States of America is not an imperial appointment. It is not the court of a king from which to rule! It is not a dictatorship forged out of intimidation and iron fisted implementation! George Washington when approached about being elected to the office rejected being an anointed one! He refrained from being crowned as a king. In his great wisdom and humility he had helped bring birth to a nation of laws based upon a representative government that answered to the people! Washington was not possessed by the fragile ego of a Barack Hussein Obama who never allows an opportunity to elevate himself to go to waste. George Washington wanted a presidency that would answer to the power of the Congress and be subordinate to the people by whom the office was elected by.

Actions of despotism

The Paris Climate Deal and the further tightening of gun control over the recent weeks has further bolstered critics of President Obama who have pointed out that in violation of Article I of the US Constitution which grants legislative power to Congress, this present oval office occupier has used executive orders rather than due process of law to force these laws down the throats of the American public. In every instance America gets the short end of the stick. The US suffers disadvantage at every turn when this president negotiates an international deal. It would seem to any rational mind that these executive actions are intentionally designed to hurt America's interests.

Chris Wallace weighs in

Chris Wallace grilled White House staffer Denis McDonough over these instances of executive overreach. Of course we could have expected any Democrat in the White House to carry water for the president and deflect the question of legality and continue with positive narratives over the destructive spending and legislation that indeed will make this nation less secure, less apt to benefit from foreign trade agreements, and continue the incredible rate of deficit spending at 1.1 trillion through September of 2016! It is interesting to listen to the way White House officials like McDonough and Debbie Wasserman Schultz never really enter into an interactive conversation with an interviewer, they simply repeat talking points undaunted by questioning and unconcerned over using facts to justify their misleading claims.

The continuous narrative

As you will continually hear in the course of the lapdog media or Democrats stumping for the administration it's all about how many people supposedly signed up for Obamacare not about the deficit, higher premiums, and the raising of deductibles to a point of absurdity. It's always about the successful negotiation of an Iranian Nuclear Agreement that is poorly advised and vastly dangerous to the interests of the Middle East, Israel, and US national security. It's always about the Paris Climate party that brought about another unenforceable deal that is symbolic, yet not Constitutional, but for the sake of President Obama's legacy it will be just fine. According to the mainstream US media it's kudos for allowing 5 million illgeal aliens to remain in the country despite security threats, job shortages, and the federal government's disinterest in protecting the interests of own citizens on US soil.

The curtain of confusion

These are the times we live in full of government double-talk and the absolute opposition by the federal government to upholding its founding documents while the nation is stabbed in the back by White House officials who are out to impose draconian ideological regulations that further compromise our rights, saddle us with more taxes, and make our streets the extensions of third world terrorism as our own police forces come under attack from mayoral offices to the White House. The message sent from our White House is amazingly consistent as violence escalates from beyond our borders and is allowed within. Let's not profile Muslims! Let's not militarize our borders we'll give illegal immigrants the wrong impression about us! We must conform to the cultures of foreigners who have arrived so let's not say such offensive things such as "Merry Christmas!" Why that's un-American! When the NEA celebrates the birthday of Chairman Mao we should definitely overlook the atrocities committed in the name of social justice in Red China! Who cares about the facts?

What we learned and what actions to take

So what does the Obama presidency teach us anyway? It tells us that the powers of the oval office must be legally curtailed so that any potential zealot deluded by his own ambitions cannot be allowed to impose his will upon the masses! It means that every future president should be accountable to Congress in matters of Constitutional issues. To reinforce the premise that the office of the president is to uphold and defend the US Constitution, not challenge it, not defy it, not violate it with impunity as we have seen President Obama so arrogantly display. Congress should pass a new law which will hold the future presidency to be accountable for his actions criminally when he oversteps his boundaries and makes dangerous treaties that threaten the existence of our nation which Obama has done! To hold in check those presidents that think their rationale supersedes the authority of Congress and the US Constitution should be priority number one of Congressional leaders!

Sounds like a plan....if this was the real world,... unfortunately, Congress has been bought out, most are RINO's, most do nothing except collect checks and the rest are too petrified to do ANYTHING without fear of reprisal.

I believe one is going to have to take the advice of an ancient saying...

"If you want something done right...do it yourself"

These spineless cowards had their chance, now it's time to do it ourselves ;)
