Due to the conditioning of a liberal society we have the increase of an ever growing personality disorder. Behaviors that have been encouraged by consumerism and politics we have seen a sharp uptick in the “Narcissistic Personality” disorder. This is a very damaging type of behavior that plagues many relationships and marriages. Male or female the spouse or co-partner is up against a formidable gas lighting type of personality that distorts the truth and torments the unfortunate person who is on the receiving end of this assault on their self-esteem and character.

Eliminating dogma

Once the typical stereo type of the woman who is weak and incapable of inflicting injury upon the man, once we got rid of mythical giving of custody of the children to the women in a divorce because she should just have the children no matter what kind of behavior she is guilty of, once we pierced the illusion of domestic violence always being attributed to the man, we have begun to understand the psychological impact that has been ignored for too long. Of course, the abuse of men upon women is wrong and should be punished but for a very long time the abuse committed by women upon men is not a rare occurrence at all.

New destroyer on the block

Now add the growing “Narcissistic Personality” to the mix thanks to the increase in self-worship, self-centeredness, and egocentric behavior and you have a toxic trap of mental cruelty that awaits an unsuspecting spouse or intimate partner. There are all types of factors and circumstances that can invent this personality disorder, but there have been people simply born with a missing aspect to their personality-lack of or no empathy.  Very prominent psychiatric disorder that parallels narcissism is Bi-polar depression, once called manic depression marked by extreme highs, crushing lows, and a complete lack of self-awareness where they do not understand the reaction they get from those they mistreat.

Prenatal abuse?

What causes these disorders that might not originate from an environment that encourages such behavior? Bi-polar depression is due to a deficiency in brain chemistry that must be treated in some way to offset the condition? Even narcissism can be a product of a malfunctioning brain chemistry that developed in utero due to stresses and strains that the mother experienced and passed onto the fetus inside of her. Science is just now beginning to find that the environment of the fetus can cause mental disturbances just as drug addiction in the mother produces a drug addicted baby when born. There is a theory that the preponderance of a generation of gay men born during and after WWII due to expectant mothers stressed over the worry for their husband or boyfriend to return home safely from combat created a homosexual tendency in those males.

True factors

We now know that the promotion of the Gay lifestyle nowadays is not a product of genetic makeup as politicized science would have us believe but by the political pressure to support such degenerate behavior for an ulterior motive. Of course, people are vulnerable to exposure to stimulus that is negative and even promoted for such purposes as depopulation and social division. Getting back to the narcissistic personality, this mental condition is causing a large statistical impact on relationship failures. This type of person will be cunning, manipulative, egotistical, and view others only as tools of opportunity in order to get what they want which is control, never ending control. If they are promiscuous and most of them are, they will tell their spouse or partner it’s all their fault.

Conclusion

Men who have had one or two divorces are easy targets as they do not want to face relationship failure again so they tolerate it and suffer terribly doing so. Women on the receiving end from a man will suffer terribly as well. Many people have made reference to a movie by the title “Gas Lighting” where a man manipulates his woman to the point of getting her to believe that despite his cruel treatment is coerced into thinking it’s all her fault. Sadly, with the current divorce rate at 50% we are more prone to look out for danger signs and red flags in the personality of the spouse of significant other rather than celebrating the beauty of a passionate and caring relationship.
