Wish I were shining bright in the night

Emerging up from the sea what a sight would that be

Shaking those oligarchs right out of their tree

Go fly a kite while the slaves go free how cool would that be?

Instead I’m alone chewing on a bone

Living without a family home

It’s not the same living in this lifeless zone

Waiting so long before the truth can ever be shown,

Just remember who really paid the price

While you live selfless and cold as ice

A world of men who have turned into mice

We could all go anytime with a toss of the dice,

With a broken heart she screams for more

The pain is human and that’s for sure

A government that’s rotten to the core

What other avenues would you care to explore?

I just ran away from life’s one act play

Baby don’t ask me to stay it’s my last day

Their heart is black and the sky is gray

Oh God when will they pay when will they pay?

I hoped one day that I’d be the same

Over my botched claim to fame

But my love you always loved to blame

And we ended oh what a shame,

I now spend my time composing rhymes

It can be quite empty at certain times

Especially when they refuse to read between the lines

Then again they’ve always refused to see the signs.
