Most of us are already controlled by debt. If you go against the agenda you can loose your job and the debt will kill you. Debt in effect is a synonym of Death.

Banning Diesel engines, that's new for me, but it makes sense as bio-diesel can be made at home. They would eventually ban the internal combustion engines too because they can be run with alcohol or biogas.

In the end they would ban everything that could be used as a weapon; metal, glass, wood. Further, to clamp us down even more; all concepts mixed up with NEWSPEAK reduced vocabulary, communication reduced to listening the controlled media only, debilitating communication devices like iPhone to reduce uncontrolled communication between individuals and to constantly record our location, contacts, and what we see hear and say.

Yes, all of this ties in with the longterm plan...

Look at the demand for a ban on diesel powered vehicles in Europe, it wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that bio-diesel could be made at home would it?

This solution is directly in line with the UN agendas to ban private means of transportation and to immobilize the people on controlled areas.
