Maybe I spent too much time investigating the gutters and backrooms of Seattle and I need a cranial cleanse. Gates' dad used to hang with the Sen. Jackson/Boeing death machine and Jack Abramoff and Richard Perle crowd. i know some top people at Microsoft and they are talented and nice decent people. Maybe Gates did not understand the downsides of trying to reinvent a technology guaranteed to work, Attenuated live virus is risky business. Like trying to improve on the short fuse or the cruise missile that homes in on Brylcreem.

Comment by apeman2502 on May 10, 2012 at 4:26pm: If Gates were one of the talented logicians who developed Microsoft technology to its present place at the head of the table, Gates would know that proficiency with a particular field of endeavor does not mean expertise in every other field. Just because you drive a car, does not mean you are a mechanic, and you should not work on brakes without special training because of the potential for causing harm. Whether Bill Gates believes he is above all that and feels entitled to strike people down and cause injury like Obama and Bush41 and Bush43 has become a matter of concern. He obviously has never had someone give him a broken nose nor has the potential for such an event crossed his mind. Overpopulation is a major problem, and the Catholic church and Church of England are two main causes of overpopulation using as many natural resources as their budgets allow, especially with regards to nuclear energy which is presently killing all life on earth. The King James Bible councils more concern with the next life in heaven than preserving the 'Garden of Eden'. Gates is from a Catholic/Jesuit schooling. If Gates was the most competent logician at Microsoft, he would not have enjoyed such success as he does. A good logician knows that expertise in one field of endeavor is not tied to expertise in every other field. Over population and especially over exploitation of natural resources to provide everything to everybody is destroying life on earth. Combine that with the moronic destructive efforts of Gates, Bush, and The City of London with their attacks on 9-11, the DH oil well in the GoM and Fukushima and it becomes obvious that too much money does not usually lead to better horsesense. Gates and the others mentioned above have become racist killers with no self-control and fools with no appreciation for the universal damage they create. Radioactivity and poisons and disease spread world wide in particular.
