Black Caucus chairman: If Obama wasn't president, we'd be 'marching on White House'

BlCleaver: If Obama wasn't president, we would be ‘marching on the White House’
By Alicia M. Cohn - 09/18/11 03:48 PM ET

Unhappy members of the Congressional Black Caucus “probably would be marching on the White House” if Obama were not president, according to CBC Chairman Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.).

"If [former President] Bill Clinton had been in the White House and had failed to address this problem, we probably would be marching on the White House," Cleaver told “The Miami Herald” in comments published Sunday. "There is a less-volatile reaction in the CBC because nobody wants to do anything that would empower the people who hate the president."

CBC members have expressed concern in recent months as the unemployment rate has continued to rise amongst African-Americans, pushing for Obama to do more to address the needs of vulnerable communities.

Thanks, Architect! I should also have mentioned a couple of my recent posts about some other "independent" "leaders" of the "left". I hope you saw them already:

"A sellout is a sellout, is a sellout...period.  W.E.B.  Dubious sold out Marcus Garvey...and he did it for the US government.  King was a sellout, he convinced black America to abandon any interest in patronizing black businesses and to accept welfare...what truth was he going to reveal?  We knew everything at the time, he wasn't the only person protesting the war...that was no reason to kill him...if that's the case, he would have been dead long before."

:)

"Think people...The people in power ALL WAYS find someone on the inside to help their cause...the higher up, the better the results....just think...the answers are there."

Oh they make sure the "higher ups" are in their pockets. Look at the "leadership" of the recent Toronto Hearings on 9/11, e.g. And who doesn't know about Gloria Stinem and Co.:

The only way you get a holiday, an "eternal flame" and your very own center is to do what's in the governments best interest...period.  Don't be open to New World Order, yet closed to what goes on here in America.  A sellout is a sellout, is a sellout...period.  W.E.B.  Dubious sold out Marcus Garvey...and he did it for the US government.  King was a sellout, he convinced black America to abandon any interest in patronizing black businesses and to accept welfare....JFK would not approve of this...Johnson did, but dragged his feel when it came to actually funding it...Kings impatience grew...he threatened to tell the "truth", complained about money for wars...what truth was he going to reveal?  We knew everything at the time, he wasn't the only person protesting the war...that was no reason to kill him...if that's the case, he would have been dead long before.   Think people...The people in power ALL WAYS find someone on the inside to help their cause...the higher up, the better the results....just think...the answers are there.

Peace...

"Malcolm and Martin never united was because they were both killed"

The question was rhetorical, but seems you missed that ;-)

"I went and protested on Washington about the war crimes in Libya"

And now there are no more war crimes in Libya and no blacks dying so all your efforts are focused on that Davis fella!

BTW: the "set up a blog for myself" was hilarious! Damn!! I am amazed any one could achieve that! (Let's hand him a Nobel!!!)

P.S. Have you ever been arrested?

Ah, and just in time:

...Her new book, Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations on Life with John F. Kennedy, makes it abundantly clear that Jack and Bobby Kennedy, as well as Jackie, saw through the public façade of the Reverend King and knew him to be a proven liar about his communist connections and a scoundrel in terms of his personal life. Jackie called King a “phony” in the taped conversations that form the basis of the book....

;-)

@Justin

"Why were Malcolm and Martin Luther King about to unite"

Did they? ;-)

As expected, just a rant devoid of meaning and sense ;-) BTW: Forget bringing in your "my father did this..." it's getting a bit old and is certainly not relevant to this topic. What have YOU done (besides "talk a lot" like "A bunch of cowards who stand behind a computer screen and discuss, discuss, discuss"? Oh grow up and learn to take criticism and stop raising dead to the level of prophets they never were.

There is no "hateful rhetoric" here except for the filth you just spewed (And no, just being "black" doesn't give you any such license and don't take people's self-censoring  as any indication of them being in agreement. For god's sake, grow up and stop playing the "victim" -- totally a pisser!

That you are frothing is clear from the lines "This is when Malcolm did not have Elijah Muhammad in his ear and decided to work with other leaders, that includes Malcolm X" (Malcolm working with Malcolm? Wow!). "Malcolm X(Malcolm Little) Stokely Charmichael, Huey P. Newton, etc, all fit that description" was another brilliant observation that proved you didn't get my point ;-) Rest is all some mumbo jumbo presented as "facts"....

But of course you will stick with the nonsense for you have been so trained from birth ("MLK!") though I hope one day you will grow up and see beyond kindergarten stuff ;-)

Interestingly. in mentioning the "murderers" standing "ordering snipers" (after MLK had been shot? WTF??), you didn't mention Jesse Jackson -- I am sure another of your idols. Why? Is it not true some say it was in fact he who shot King??????

@ Nota Khan...

...now you're talking!

@Architect

"US always finds someone to use to obtain their objectives...Dr King just happened to be the right person at the right time."

The only thing I'd change is "US" ;-) Of course "MLK" is a creation of the puppet masters but the idol-worshippers that we are, we will not see beyond that (and they know this about us and are always able to control us through such manufactured dissent). Now, at best MLK was himself unaware of his surrogate role (though I doubt it). And what happened to his dream you already talked about. :)

Personally I think one of MLK's major roles was to keep blacks from going the Malcolm-X/Black Panthers route ("By any means necessary...") and he did this successfully by selling them the Gandhi "non-viloence" bullshit!

But this is not only true with "blacks" movement.  This neutering has been performed on all the Leftist movements as well and their "leadership" hijacked to turn them into controlled opposition.

P.S. I am surprised how many still believe: "But his dream came true...we have a BLACK president!!!!" ;-)
