It's a struggle every day

Ominous dreams on the bed where I lay
What kinds of convoluted logic will I hear today?
The news made of blood everywhere
All they try to do is scare
Watching my ex look into the mirror and stare
I smell turmoil in the air,
Hard to breathe in this deceptive atmosphere
People aren’t thinking quite clear
Free lobotomies to quell the fear
Stupidity has become a career,
That black cloud is coming back again
Been that way since I can remember when
Here comes the violent crowd
Their diseased brains screaming out loud,
The fools would turn their own country into a shroud
This kind of insanity shouldn’t be allowed
Delusional followers misguided and proud
And you wonder why I’ve got a black cloud,
Hanging over me
All I wanted was just to be free
Indoctrinated fools who burn down their own city
From where I’m sitting it don’t look pretty,

The news only stokes the division and hate
In reality there’s blood on their plate
We used to have reasonable debate
Afraid we’re headed for a disastrous fate.
