Blanket of Dreams
I can’t stay here in this time and space
Moving back to the past from this unholy place
It seems to be caused by the human race
It just seems that I can’t keep pace,
Just when I thought the road would be clear
Once again disaster comes near
If things were as they should be wouldn’t that be queer?
I can’t stay here I can’t stay here,
Let me roll up in a blanket of dreams
Then I can escape their lies and their schemes
Looking everyone coming apart at the seams
It’s not genetic it’s not in their genes,
Something in this world too evil to overcome
I came to liberate and chew bubble gum
So much easier to just give up and run
All of the patriots are under the gun,
Oh my Darling where have you gone?
Thought I could depend on you from dusk until dawn
And you know the pain goes on and on
I just can’t stay here and be somebody’s pawn,
How did we ever choose a life like this?
Living a hard life for just one final kiss
Are you schizophrenic if you live in bliss?
I just can’t stay here or I’ll fall into the abyss,
I just can’t stay here in linear time
Something I ponder with a glass of wine
I can’t remember the last candle light dine
A pack of wolves are out there among the pines.
