BREAKING: Tulsa Police and feds create joint task force to find north Tulsa killer
Tulsa, Okla. —
In reaction to the early Friday morning shooting spree in north Tulsa, Chief of Tulsa Police Chuck Jordan has announced the formation of a joint city-federal task force to find the killer.

Five people were shot in the early morning hours Friday in an area roughly along N. Peoria Ave. between 63rd St. North and 36th St. North.
Three of the victims died; all five were black.
Jordan tells KRMG the task force, dubbed "Operation Random Shooter," will include members of the U.S. Marshals Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office in addition to Tulsa police officers.
Among those in attendance, District One City Councilor Jack Henderson, TPD Deputy Chief Dennis Larsen, Mayor Dewey Bartlett, and NAACP Chapter President Rev. Warren Blakney, Sr.
Police announced late Friday afternoon they believe the suspect to be a white man driving a white pickup truck.

Tulsa Police announced they are forming a task force with the US Marshal's office, FBI and Tulsa County Sheriff's office to catch the gunman in the recent string of North Tulsa shootings. They've dubbed the investigation "Operation Random Shooter." TPD Chief Chuck Jordan had a message for the suspect: "we're comin' for ya."
At a Saturday afternoon press conference, Chief Jordan said it would take at least a week to run down leads and urged citizens to report anything suspicious. Chief Jordan said the department is dedicating at least 30 people to the investigation.
