California newspaper issues a radiation alert

A local California newspaper has broken stride with the corporate media and had the sense to post a radiation alert warning people to stay indoors while a concentrated plume of Japan nuclear radiation blows over the US west coast.

Finally a corporate newspaper that has the courage to stray from the official government mantra that radiation is “safe”.

The editor of the local Healdsburg, California newspaper has issued an alert on the Healdsburg Patch to readers.

The editor has done the sensible thing and informed the public by posting a YouTube video of a credible nuclear fallout forecast.

The forecast showed the US showed a mild to moderate concentration of radiation over the US west coast for a few days and based on the forecast the alert warned the public to stay indoors for a few days to reduce exposure during that time period.

Fantastic post James!  The local papers around me in So. Cal have reported NOTHING (big surprise), but thanks to a friend I was told that this week (which marks the one month anniversary of the disaster) that radiation levels and exposure could be higher, and to be prepared.

Reports of South Korea closing schools when detecting Radiation at 2.02 becquerels per liter, and the detected amount in CA rainwater at 20.1(Bq/L) is absolutely safe. I can't believe people buy this! All I know is that when it SNOWED here in Las Vegas yesterday (which by the way I have not seen in the 30 years I've lived here - SNOW IN VEGAS IN APRIL???), I did not let my kids play in it! And come on, EPA levels already dangerously high, and they are raising them even further - it's neo-genocide.

It's great to see that a local indie newspaper has the balls to call it like it is. With that said, they are a bit late on the warning. The WOW weather website has been showing these same consistent readings since March 18th, when I started monitoring the situation.
