There’s some cutting edge research that might seem like science fiction, but it’s absolutely true… and it answers this question:
Can stem cells really improve eyesight?
You may not know this but… your risk of severe eye problems dramatically increases after age 65.
And Macular Degeneration, the world’s leading cause of blindness, affects 11 million people in the United States. And that number is growing every year.
Scientists have been researching the impact of stem cells and their ability to improve eyesight for over a decade.
But emerging, cutting edge research reveals that stem cells could become the new treatment for people who want to prevent age-related blindness; or who simply want to improve their vision and throw away their glasses.
Sight is our richest sense; we process more information with our eyes than any other sense.
We use our sight to navigate our physical environment, learn new information from books and videos, and it’s one of our most powerful connectors with other humans - consider gazing into the eyes of your children or spouse and you immediately know what I’m talking about.
Now… imagine losing that connection.
And even though we live in a world with amazing technology, many of the disorders that cause blindness are currently difficult, if not impossible, to treat.
But there’s one very promising area of research that’s giving hope to millions and it’s all about the potential for stem cells to treat vision loss.
Recent studies have found that blindness in mice was improved by activating stem cells in their eyes.
And other research shows that stem cells may slow the development of Macular Degeneration, the #1 cause of blindness in those aged 65 and over.
And new research being done right now is actually investigating if this kind of stem cell therapy can be used to prevent macular degeneration completely.
There is exciting research being done right now with stem cells to improve eyesight, restore vision, and prevent age-related blindness.
And even though these treatments aren’t approved for humans just yet, we only have to look into the future just a bit to see some amazing changes in the way we treat our vision.
In the meantime there are some easy things you can do right now to make sure your vision is in tip top shape… things like:
✔️ Getting enough sleep
✔️ Eat a healthy diet
✔️ Get regular eye checkups and
✔️ Take VItamin A - (it really does help!)
We’ll be back with more cutting edge research and new stem cell news soon.
Thank you for reading!
